Who is Ruby Chewsday?

Picture
Ruby Chewsday is a furry monster
She eats socks
Digs holes
Ignores the plea's of her mother to "Sit" and "Stay"
Listens to her dad only because he can growl louder than her mum
Takes up all the room on the couch
Helps herself to the fridge if you leave the door open
And refuses to believe she is indeed a Cocker Spaniel and not part of the human race

Ruby Chewsday's baby photos

Ruby's first day at her new house. She cried the whole way home and didn't stop until we introduced her to the garden beds, and like a little garden gnome- she's been happiest hiding in the bushes ever since.

One of the first Cocker Spaniel books I ever read heeded a very important warning. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GIVE INTO THEIR BIG BROWN EYES!
Well, with any pet, it was easier said than done. Here is Ruby at 3 months of age perfecting the art of getting anything she wants from her mother via the power of puppy persuasion.

This is one of my favourite photos of Ruby Chewsday. More often than not, this is the view you get from an unsuspected puppy investigation.
Wether its first thing in the morning or late at night laying on the couch, a wet nose will appear in exteme closeup which is puppy code for "Here I am! Did you miss me?"

Ruby gets a little of the sides....

Now that we are at the tail end of winter it was time for the big ball of fluff to have a tidy up. Ruby has had this look on her face for almost a week now. Poor puppy, it's hard not to get a complex when everybody is laughing at you...
